  About the role

  JBSS is setting up a 50 TPD Construction & Demolition (C&D) waste processing plant for Nagar Nigam Bareilly on a 15-year EPC and O&M contract. The Operations Manager is our person on the ground in Bareilly and the single owner of the site, responsible for running the plant, holding the relationship with the municipal corporation, and keeping us compliant with our obligations. The role reports to management and leads the on-site team.

  What you'll do

  • Run the plant day to day — from commissioning through steady operational keeping throughput, uptime and site safety on track.
  • Owning the Nagar Nigam Bareilly relationship and keep the site compliant with the contract, C&D Waste Rules and SPCB/NCAP obligations.
  • Maintain the site's MIS — daily logs and monthly reports to the corporation, and manage the field team and vendors.

  What we're looking for

  • 5+ years running a waste-processing plant, plant O&M, or municipal SWM operations on the ground.
  • Confidence dealing with municipal corporations and government officials, with solid reporting and compliance discipline.
  • Nice to have: an engineering background or prior exposure to C&D / NCAP projects.

  Role

  Manage the on-ground implementation of civil works for government projects.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys and prepare layouts and working drawings using AutoCAD or other CAD software.
  • Handle negotiations related to billing matters with Indian government clients.
  • Prepare BOQs, quantity estimates and costing using government SOR/DSR.
  • Source quotations from local civil contractors and negotiate rates.
  • Coordinate with government officials, contractors, vendors and management.
  • Monitor site execution, measurements, quality, safety and timelines.
  • Maintain measurement records, bills and progress reports.
  • Resolve site-level issues and ensure timely completion.

  Requirements

  • Practical experience in civil project execution.
  • Good knowledge of SOR/DSR, BOQs, estimation, drawings and contractor billing.
  • Strong vendor negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Clear communication in Hindi and English.
  • Willing to travel frequently and stay at project sites when required.
